Romana Mateias
Designer biography:
With a career in Visual Arts β Ceramics, the artist transforms porcelain into fine textures and delicate miniatures that she puts in dialogue with the elegance of brilliant silver and colored resin elements. This adds volume and a vibrant color palette, giving the pieces a visual depth reminiscent of stained glass. Her jewelry is conceived as a multi-component game of kinetic surfaces created by texture, light, color and shadow. Itβs interactive art that moves with the wearer, transforming light into color. The reflections of the silver and the translucent colors of the resin change at every angle, offering a dynamic visual experience.
Collection concept:
The "Living Architecture" collection is a tribute to the journey of life, illustrates the dynamics of personal development as an explosion of vitality. In this vibrant stage, accumulated inner energy generates the emergence of an ecosystem, becoming the source of growth, of metamorphosis. The colored cube and silver sprouts create a powerful imagery of transformation, embodying the essence of inner growth. It describes the process by which the human spirit (germination) manages to use the structure, discipline or even the limitations of life (the cube) to rise, to develop, to shine.
