Romanian Jewelry Week 4.0 - Awards

 
 

The fourth edition of Romanian Jewelry Week, the most extensive event dedicated to contemporary jewelry, concluded on Sunday, October 9, with the award ceremony held at the National Library of Romania. Five days with more than 3,000 visitors that admired the designer jewelries at the central location, as well as the other five related venues throughout Bucharest.

During the event, Bucharest hosted exhibitions featuring over 230 international designers, conferences, workshops on contemporary jewelry, and guided tours at the National Museum of Literature and the Cotroceni Museum. Additionally, exhibitions and fairs of contemporary jewelry were held at OTOTO, AlbAlb, and Assamblage Gallery.

At the Romanian Jewelry Week Contemporary Jewelry Fair, the public had the opportunity to grasp the authenticity of each piece directly from over 60 designer jewelers from 30 countries including Romania, the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, France, Kuwait, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Italy, Greece, Mexico, Lithuania, Ukraine, Belgium, and many more.

The audience applauded the talent and creativity of all the artists and designers of Romanian Jewelry Week 2023 for investing their entire passion and creativity in each piece of jewelry. Therefore, the jury faced a difficult decision when selecting the winners.

The Grand Prize of Romanian Jewelry Week was awarded to Sharareh Aghaei, a jewelry designer from Germany, for her outstanding collection of techniques, materials, and concepts in contemporary jewelry. „The work has a mysterious quality. Making the setting the center piece and leaving it to the imagination what would possibly fill that space. It leaves us dreaming and fantasizing.” stated Charon Kransen, jury member, Charon Kransen Arts, New York.

 The Grand Award of Romanian Jewelry Week 2023 – Sharareh Aghaei for the outstanding collection of techniques, materials and concept in contemporary jewelry.

Romanian Jewelry Week 2023 awards by the selection of the jury member Charon Kransen is awarded to Maria Eugenia Ramos and Demitra Thomloudis.

The award for excellence in technique at Romanian Jewelry week is awarded to Marie Jianu by the selection of the jury member Bernadette Pinet-Cuoq – president of the European Federation of Jewellery.

Romanian Jewelry Week 2023 Award by the selection of the jury member Cristina Felipe is awarded to Yuqing and a special mention goes to Isabella Perez Barros and Ukrainian artists.

The award for social message at Romanian Jewelry Week 2023 by the selection of the jury member Justyna Teodorczyk – Director of the Gallery of Art in Legnica, Poland is Ivana Tilesova.

The Ilias Lalaounis Jewelry Museum Award at Romanian Jewelry Week by the selection of the jury member Byron Vafeiadis – curator of Education and Collections at Ilias Lalaounis Jewelry Museum in Athens, Greece is awarded to Tomas Miskovic and Elvira Cibotti.

The Lost in Jewelry Magazine award at Romanian Jewelry Week is awarded to Maria Eugenia Ramos.

The Mydaybyday Gallery award at Romanian Jewelry Week 2023 is awarded to Adeliia Lisohor.

Revista Atelierul award at Romanian Jewelry week 2023 is awarded to Wenyin Jiang.

Assamblage Contemporary Jewelry School award at Romanian Jewelry Week  by the selection of Andreia Gabriela Popescu is awarded to Wenyin Jiang.
