Designer biography:

Luba Sokolovsky is a contemporary jewellery artist and writer based in Belgium. She creates sculptural objects that carry weight — physical and emotional — transforming natural forms into works that question perception, presence, and memory. Her practice moves between jewellery, visual art, and text, where the object becomes a point of tension between body and time. Her work has been presented internationally, including Cluster Contemporary Jewellery (London, 2024, 2025), Florence Biennale (2025), and Romanian Jewellery Week (2025). Her current work focuses on the embodied experience of form.

Collection concept

Within these stones one can hear the sound of surf, the sea wind, the taste of salt, the heat of the sun, and the cool breath of night. Like the ruins of sandcastles, they restore a sense of presence – a sacred spark. The Tiffany technique, used in sacred stained glass, was chosen deliberately – tin frames the stone. Through its natural openings, copper growths emerge, extending into silver, forming a connection both physical and symbolic. The project, which began as Mysteria Between the Lands – inspired by the uncanny resemblance of the stones to forms of antiquity – found an unexpected continuation in the series of rings Grounded. The word appeared spontaneously, as an experience, like a flash of recognition. Those who wear the ring suddenly feel something difficult to explain: strength, confidence, balance. A hymn to an enduring dream — authenticity and history.
