Designer biography:

Ayat Dhahi is a Saudi metalsmith and jewelry artist whose practice explores the relationship between cultural memory, material, and contemporary design. Inspired by the landscapes, architecture, and everyday rituals of Saudi Arabia, she transforms familiar cultural references into meticulously handcrafted jewelry and objects.

Working primarily in silver, Ayat employs traditional metalsmithing techniques alongside contemporary design approaches to create intricate compositions built from repetition, rhythm, and refined craftsmanship. Her work reflects an ongoing dialogue between heritage and innovation, where every piece becomes a vessel for identity, place, and personal narrative.

Holding an MA in Jewelry from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), Ayat is dedicated to preserving traditional craftsmanship while expanding its relevance within contemporary jewelry practice.

Collection concept:

Fragments of Continuity explore the idea that although we share the same origins, each of us develops a unique identity. Handcrafted from silver, the collection transforms repeated forms into contemporary jewelry that symbolizes individuality, connection, and shared human experience. The open centers represent the invisible bonds that unite us, celebrating the balance between belonging and personal expression.
