Designer biography:

Li Yuxuan is a fashion artefact researcher integrating digital media expertise with cultural heritage innovation. Through material experimentation, she creates tradition-inspired wearables that reinterpret craftsmanship through contemporary technologies. Her practice is driven by a critical historical perspective, balancing humanistic sensibility with industrial potential, while examining feathers as cultural signifiers and exposing humanity’s “Invisible Harm.”

Collection concept:

The Invisible Harm is a series of wearable fashion artefacts crafted from copper and ethically sourced peacock and goose feathers. Inspired by the historical use of birds and feathers in Chinese and European adornment, the collection reflects on fashion-driven persecution and today’s indirect harm through pollution and habitat loss. Through form, colour, texture and materiality, the pieces reveal the silent suffering of birds and question human desire for beauty.
