Designer biography:

I was born and live in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Tashkent beckons with its warm bread, delicious water, beautiful nature, historical and memorial monuments, and rich works of art. This will help me to use national ornaments, memorial monuments and thousand years of history in our centuries and preserve our national values. I consider it one of my achievements that we use cold enamel in jewelry, especially in order to resemble national majolica. It was my grandfather who caused me to enter the jewelry industry. When I did not know what profession to choose, my grandfather advised me to become a jeweler, and I entered a jewelry college. During my studies, I began to learn the secrets of jewelry making from my teachers. During their studies, they were taught various techniques. Since I liked the more traditional style, I continued to work in this style even after graduation and made sure that this profession was for me. Gradually, I actively participated in various exhibitions and festivals with my creative works and received orders. Confessions of visitors to exhibitions and festivals inspired me to create new works.

Collection concept

The basis of inspiration was the architecture and decorative art of the East — the carved windows and shelves of the palaces of Bukhara and Kokand. Each pattern is a story embedded in wood or stone. I try to carefully transfer these motifs into jewelry in order to give them a new lease of life and show how cultural heritage can sound modern. In the collection, I used the blackening technique, worked with silver, and chose natural stones for accents — lapis lazuli and mother-of-pearl. I wanted to combine modernity with conciseness of forms, while preserving the depth of traditional motifs.
