Marie Therese Wolf
Designer biography:
Marie Therese Wolf is a contemporary jewellery artist whose practice explores the intersection of sculpture, material experimentation and the body. Working with resin, cement, metal and materials found in nature or waste, she creates pieces that range from geological formations to interactive structures. Her work investigates transformation and the evolving relationship between object and wearer. Blurring the boundaries between ornament and art, her pieces function as both wearable adornments and conceptual propositions. She lives between Spain, Italy and Austria. Constant movement and changing environments influence her practice, resulting in a process shaped by continuous change.
Collection concept
It begins as a whisper, subtle yet potent, marking transformation. PlusMinus is a series of hollow, interactive jewellery objects containing magnetic sand. Transparent neckpieces, armpieces, and rings become vessels for movement, where contrasts such as light and dark, empty and full, are made tangible through touch. By moving magnetic brooches across the surface, the wearer activates shifting particles that form temporary landscapes and dissolve again. This soothing, meditative interaction engages touch, sight, and imagination. Through attraction and repulsion, PlusMinus explores invisible forces, proposing jewellery as a site for sensory exploration and interaction.
