Designer biography:
Artist from Coimbra, Portugal. Studied jewelry at CJLX in Lisbon. Created the contemporary jewelry project “Bichos”. Represented by TincalLab galleries (Porto, PT) and Galeria Alice Floriano (Porto Alegre, BR). Exhibited at Tincallab in July 2025 and at Galeria Alice Floriano’s 10 year anniversary in September 2025. In February 2026 exhibited at the Museo Nacional de Artes Decorativas and Museo Cerralbo in Madrid as part of the X Muestra de Orfebrería Contemporánea 2026. Solo show "Gaúchas" at Galeria Alicie Floriano in May 2026.
Collection concept:
These pieces result from an intuitive and experimental process. From a research into composition, scale and a process of collecting and preserving elements as basic building blocks. The impulse, the intention, and the choice, conscious and unconscious, guide the creation and compose the objects, the morphological worlds I create, the structures of the unconscious. My work is a mutant, and one doesn’t ask a mutant what it is or what it’s for. There is something revolutionary in creating something that is not an utility.
