Designer biography:

After years working as an optician and optometrist, I moved into jewelry making. My work is based on the combination of optical materials and metalworking techniques. I work with eyeglass lenses, mobile phone camera lenses, and other specialized optical components, integrating them into jewelry through traditional techniques. In the making process, the behavior of the material and its inherent possibilities are complemented by deliberate intervention and form development, allowing the pieces to emerge at the intersection of function and expression. The collection builds on my 2025 graduation project, developed at the Budai Rajziskola under the supervision of Fanni Vékony.

Collection concept:

TRANSPARENCY - Glass Pocket Series

The Glass Pocket series explores the promise and limits of transparency. According to the “glass pocket” principle, what is transparent becomes visible.  The series, consisting of six rings and two brooches, plays with clear and sandblasted glass surfaces, exploring the boundary between visibility and concealment. Transparent glass suggests the illusion of full visibility, while sandblasted surfaces obscure the view, hinting that what appears visible is not always what it seems. The series examines the fine, fragile line between surface and hidden values.
