Collection concept:
Brooch collection FRAGMENTA / “fragments“. It is based on the rhymes of ancient elements and harmonies from the fragmentarily preserved ancient Greek poetry. Fragments of poems are engraved on shards of transparent stones to embody the feelings, moods, ideas and secrets as a distant starlight that continues to charge our souls several millennia later. Each brooch is a carrier of light that seems to create a projection on the reality of the new age. This collection is dedicated to and inspired by Ilze Rumniece, Professor of Classical Philology at the University of Latvia. In this collection are used specially made half raw semi-precious stones, such as aquamarines, topazes and quartzes.
