Designer biography:
Andreea-Sorina Rîșcu has a background in Marketing and Advertising, where she developed an interest in human behavior and narrative structures. Currently a student at Assamblage Jewelry School, she approaches jewelry as a medium for translating the subtleties of human nature into metal. Her practice blends conceptual thinking with material exploration, grounded in the belief that lived experiences shape identity. For Andreea, jewelry becomes a symbolic object that holds intention and anchors change. Through this lens, each ring embodies a promise made to oneself, tracing the subtle yet profound transition between who we were and who we are becoming.
Collection concept:
The collection Rupture and Repair follows an inner narrative of choice and transformation in relation to the world around us. Rupture is not the end, but a threshold that invites pause, self-reflection, and conscious response. Each ring carries a self-promise: from awareness of a fragile identity under pressure, to setting boundaries when giving more than receiving, to enduring discomfort with the trust that it will ease, to accepting difference in perspective, and deciding whether reconnection is worth it. Together, the five rings form a personal passage through tension, reflection, and repair.
