Designer biography:

Viviana Andrea Latorre Soriano is an artist dedicated to the design and creation of jewelry, working with a variety of materials and techniques. Her creative journey spans several artistic disciplines, including performance and dance. As the daughter, granddaughter, and niece of teachers with diverse talents, she was deeply influenced by her family. Her mother, a visual artist with a degree in Fine Arts, introduced her to abstract painting, sculpture, pre-Columbian jewelry, and metal enameling. From childhood, literature, music, drawing, and wood carving were integral parts of her daily life, taught and shared by other family members.

After many years working as a fitness instructor, Viviana chose to fully dedicate herself to jewelry making as a self-taught artist. Her fascination with jewelry began in her teenage years, inspired by watching talented artists and artisans working on the street. Although she put this passion on hold for a time, in 2019 she returned to it with renewed commitment, beginning to experiment and develop her skills. In October 2022, she was invited to exhibit her sculptural jewelry at Milan Jewelry Week. Nationally, she has participated in exhibitions in art galleries, auctions, and artisan fairs such as AW2024 Chile. She has also received several awards for excellence, most recently at the Florence Biennale 2024.

Collection concept: The Essence of the Beginning

This collection explores the primal moments of creation. Each piece symbolizes a key stage in the formation of the world:

1. Trace of Genesis -  An organic, fossil-like aesthetic—evoking a relic from the world’s origins, preserved in metal. It suggests roots and bones.
2. Earth’s Awakening - The moment when matter became conscious, and the Earth’s crust emerged from primordial chaos—like lava taking form.
3. Germination - Life begins to sprout. A structure of twisted roots and branches emerges with both strength and delicacy, cradling a gem as if it were the heart of a new being.
4. The First Breath - A tribute to the early organisms that began to proliferate in the hostile environment of the young Earth. Porous, tentacle-like forms reach outward, seeking expansion.
5. Primordial Matrix - Copper pistils represent seeds, spores, and the propagation of life itself.
