Noga Harel - Israel
Noga Harel
Designer biography:
Noga Harel is an artist and goldsmith whose practice is focused on a love for materials, textures, tactility and a sense of place. Her works are investigations of the environment and her relationship with the landscape through wanderings, poetry, photography, and collection of objects. She uses her goldsmith skills to make jewellery, objects and sculptural pieces integrating both natural and manmade materials. Driven by a deep relationship to the land she works with these raw materials sourced from the landscape and translates elements of her personal journey through space and time as unique small objects and jewelry, quintessentially intimate in nature, in a slow meditative process.
Collection concept:
This series of works explores the natural world as a constant evolving and ever changing metamorphosis, microscopic processes and elements that are hidden from view but are fascinating and thought provoking. The metamorphosis of nature can be seen or described as an outer mirror of our own inner psyche, our most intimate processes of change and evolvement as our personal narratives are transforming, created and recreated.
