Designer biography:

Loneliness and melancholy, shame and guilt, vulnerability and a sensitivity to life. Kent uses a simple and clear idiom to identify some of these primary, basic feelings. Most of her work contains sadness, vulnerability and agony. A vulnerability among people and a vulnerability found in nature. A closer look at fragility. She examines the weight of absence, the tension of unspoken words and the quiet space where expectations linger. An intimate reflection on what is hidden, what is lost and what remains. A poetic meditation on emptiness as both void and presence. Kent has participated in exhibitions in Russia, China and Germany and had a working stay (AiR) in Berlin and currently has a studio at Østfold Artsenter, Fredrikstad. Norway.

Collection concept:  COCCON ME

I have hung myself up on the wall.

3 versions of a human seed inside a cocoon.

Here I hang, in my cocoon that encapsulates my inner private and outer more visible transformations.

Like a dark metamorphic warning, I hang there, so you can see.

Ready to surrender everything, surrender everything to achieve the deep transformation I need.
