ANASTASIA PINDERA
Biography:
Anastasia Pindera’s metalworks set out to make a bold statement. Using the body as subject, her contemporary jewellery and wearable sculpture installations examine patriarchal stereotypes, taboos and Western beauty ideals. Her work aims to encourage critical dialogue and empowerment. Pindera holds a BFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (2018). She has exhibited work internationally and received awards from the Canada Council for the Arts, the Manitoba Craft Council and Arts Nova Scotia. Pindera currently lives and works on Treaty No. 1 territory in Winnipeg, Canada
