Designer biography:
Valeria Rossini was born in Verona in 1988. She started her approach to jewelry design during her second year at Politecnico in Milan, in 2012. Her pieces are characterized by shape linearity and ergonomics, along with material plasticity and organicity. Her basic technique is lost wax in silver and bronze with the use of raw, cut and handcut stones, rocks, bones, shells, plexiglas, antique and found objects. Her approach to contemporary jewelry goes through a long process of selecting, manipulating and interpreting organic material and color. For her, the best outcome of a project is reaching a shape that is straightforward, honest and that transmits a sense of balance.
Collection concept:
Neoclassica is a dialogue between eras, a reinterpretation of classical and ancient shapes, renewed through a contemporary perspective, where the lines of the past are renewed with a modern sensibility, enriched with new inspirations. The contemporary use of ancient and reclaimed objects, carved cameos and antique coins, precious and semiprecious stones, bronze, silver and gold creates a narrative where each object tells its own story. A truly unique pieces series are born, where tradition and innovation merge in an harmonious balance, giving shape to objects that do not belong to a specific era, but become a means of reinterpreting the past in order to make it eternally present.
