Designer biography:
Raghad Arafah is a jewelry designer and metalsmith with a Bachelor’s degree in Jewelry Design, a Diploma in Jewelry Making, and a Higher Diploma in Product Development. Formerly serving as a Jewelry Workshop Coordinator, Raghad now works as an independent jewelry maker while leading training programs and workshops for aspiring jewelry artists and makers. Rooted in storytelling, Raghad’s practice draws inspiration from nature, history, and traditional jewelry-making techniques, transforming them into meaningful contemporary pieces. An academic background in product development has further expanded this approach, inspiring the integration of jewelry craftsmanship into contemporary products and redefining jewelry as an experience that extends beyond adornment. Raghad’s vision is to transform jewelry into a meaningful medium of expression—one that tells the story of its owner even when unworn, becoming an inseparable part of each individual's personal journey.
Collection concept:
This body of work is guided by a design philosophy centered on the relationship between nature and identity, transforming everyday elements and cultural symbols into contemporary jewelry with a strong narrative dimension. Inspired by plants, fruits, mountains, and ancient inscriptions, Each piece reinterprets these elements through a contemporary design language that balances traditional handcraft with experimental practice, More than objects of adornment, these works are intended to create an emotional connection with their wearer, allowing every piece to become an extension of a memory, a place, or a personal story.
