Oles Tsura
Designer biography:
Oles Tsura (born 1993 in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine) is a contemporary jewellery artist whose work moves between material research, emotional expression and sculptural design. Trained in fine and applied arts in Ukraine, he specialised in jewellery at the Lviv Academy of Arts and later earned a second BfA in Gemstone and Jewellery at Trier University of Applied Sciences, Campus Idar-Oberstein, Germany. After three years working as a gemstone cutter, he now lives in Hildesheim, pursuing a Master’s in Metal Design at HAWK University of Applied Sciences and Arts while developing his artistic practice through traditional techniques and experimental methods.
Collection concept:
My work explores attraction, emotion and sensory memory through lollipop-inspired brooches crafted from amber, gemstones and precious metals. Each piece becomes a small emotional trigger: playful yet introspective, shifting between sweetness, desire and vulnerability. Natural colours, cuts and clarity reveal inner movement, while round, glossy forms evoke childhood longing and visual temptation. These objects blur the line between jewellery and sculpture, inviting touch, curiosity and reflection on how pleasure, identity and emotion shape our contemporary experience.
