Inertia is a contemporary capsule collection exploring the micro-to-macro decay of modern connection. Sculpted in the stark contrast of raw brass and cold silver, set against sharp, architectural lines, these three wearable artifacts translate our current psychological landscape into metal.
ME — My Confirmation Bias
Developed within the Contemporia studio by Alex Burlacu, this wereable piece features a mirror-polished surface obscured by a rough, cage-like overlay. It embodies the choice to blind ourselves to nuance; we no longer possess the strength — or the desire — to filter the world through obsolete lenses of absolute good and bad. Instead, we seek only the reflection of what we already hold to be true. It is an armor built of self-validation.
YOU — Spine
Developed within the Contemporia studio by Teo Vasilescu, this wereable piece is constructed from stark, unadorned structural links. Stripped of skin, embellishment, and hollow sentimentalism, it sits heavily against the collarbone to trace a relationship worn down to its structural skeleton. The joints are intentionally rigid, rendering the piece to stretch or realign — a physical monument to connections that linger long after their meaning has vanished.
US — The Impending Disruptor
Developed within the Contemporia studio by Bogdan Croitoru, this sculptural piece is characterized by fractured geometry and suspended weight. It represents a collective, paralyzing anticipation. The current social tissue is unequipped for the shift looming on the horizon; the old ways are already defunct. This piece demands neither action nor panic, only passive witness. Wear it as an emblem of waiting for the inevitable wave that resets the whole.
