Designer biography:

Jewellery designer, passionated by mechanics and gemology, Charlotte Romer founded Studio C in 2020 to give form to her dreams and share her inner world. After graduating in art history from the Sorbonne and the Ecole du Louvre, Charlotte Romer entered the art market and joined Sotheby’s Paris. She then spent the following 9 years in an important gallery specialised in 20th century decorative arts in Paris, before returning to her first love: creation, jewellery and gemstones. She then trained in gemology at the Gem-A (she is gradutaed in 2021) and in metal polishing at the Haute Ecole de Joaillerie in Paris.

Collection concept

Studio C’s creations draw inspiration from the world of precision engineering, resolutely contemporary, from the Art Deco era, which is profoundly modern, as well as from the great jewellery-making tradition. The bold shapes carved by Charlotte Romer draw on her reinterpretation of industrial and modernist forms, giving rise to innovative and sculptural pieces. Each piece of jewellery is adorned with gemstones selected for their colour and brilliance. Pushing the boundaries of design conventions, Charlotte has chosen to use an industrial material, aluminium, for its lightness, luminous quality and vibrant colours thanks to the anodisation process. She imagines jewelry for both men and women.
