Collection concept
Botanica obscura is a jewelry collection that combines mechanical structures with botanical forms. The elements are joined together with visible bolts and nuts, emphasizing a forced and interrupted fusion rather than a seamless connection. The metal mechanical elements represent a sense of power, control and stability, while the translucent botanical elements introduce fragility and organic touch. Although the collection is created using digital 3D modelling and additive manufacturing, the pieces maintain the scale, wearability, and hand-assembled character of traditional jewelery. The collection explores tension between nature and engineering, and between modern manufacturing methods and established approaches.
