Collection concept:
My jewelry practice embodies the moments when life swells and recedes with each breath, rendered through restrained symbolism that reveals the unseen narratives of existence—eternity and ephemera, presence and absence. These forms are intimately entwined with the imagery of a body filling with breath at birth and fading as it empties, reflecting the unending cycle of life’s leap and disappearance. The organic shapes, repeating the rhythms of convergence and dissolution, poetically allude to the essence of being—connections formed and broken, entities reflecting one another.
The recent series, Breath Series_Balanced, draws inspiration from the organs that sustain life’s flow, such as the heart and lungs, translating their morphological qualities into sculptural expressions. With a focus on the sense of balance, the Balanced series finds harmony and tranquility within symmetrical forms, much like a tightrope walker poised between tension and stillness, capturing life’s delicate equilibrium. The protruding entrance atop the rounded body becomes a conduit linking the inner and outer worlds, symbolizing both a vessel of breath and a chamber resonating with the vibration of life. These works transcend conventional adornment, becoming vital presences on the wearer’s body. Through this series, I seek to foster a sensory dialogue with the wearer, embodying an artist’s love and responsibility for life itself.
