Designer biography:

Creation has never been optional for Vietnamese-American artist Vinh Hữu Lê, following him from his birthplace in the deep mangrove jungle of the Mekong Delta, through the United States of America and now in Bucharest, Romania. Manifesting in a constant exploration of external and internal materiality, from metal to clay, from body to feelings. Trained in sculpture at Western Michigan University, his provocation is one of presence, of calling into the world a universal grace of wonder. His artist-in-community spirit was watered at the anti-racist, artist-run clay studio Artshack Brooklyn and now takes root at Assamblage School of Contemporary Jewelry.

Collection concept:

Life unfolds between sword and lily, bullets and feathers, thorns and soft tongue, shell and heart. Vinh's jewelry doesn’t shy from extremes—it sculpts them into dialogue. Like artifacts from personal myths, each piece blurs the line between violence and tenderness, seeking wholeness over resolution. These are not ornaments but artifacts of feeling: part armor, part offering. Working with precious metals and found materials, he challenges fine jewelry’s canons, led by instinct and wonder. Jewelry becomes a site of reckoning, where beauty meets danger, and the body is both shrine and battleground.
