Designer biography:

Nazanin Modares is co-founder of Studio Delta P, a newly launched art studio dedicated to creating jewelry and sculptural pieces as the final expression of each collection. The studio’s work draws inspiration from forms found in both natural and built environments. To Nazanin, the human body is the most alive and intimate context—one that we carry with us,a personal landscape we inhabit from birth, shaped by time and rich with history. At Studio Delta P, she works on experimental pieces that explore fresh relationships between objects and the body—sculptural forms that dance on the skin, respond to it, and engage in a tactile dialogue.

Collection concept:

The Woodskin collection is inspired by the naturally peeling layers of tree trunks—left undisturbed as they settle into their final forms. These shapes emerge through multi-phase interactions between the wood’s boundary layers and both internal and external forces, resulting in twisted, stretched, and bent surfaces with distinctive character. This process mirrors the relationship between nature’s transformation and the human body—a living, breathing context. In this surreal landscape, the sculptural pieces inspired by woodskin find new meaning. They blur the boundary between object and body, becoming wearable extensions of nature’s evolving form. The delicate, expressive nature of these woodskins led to a deeper exploration through sketching and modeling, allowing for a more intimate appreciation of the uniqueness in nature’s transformations.
