Designer biography:
Shiqi Fu, a jewellery designer, graduated from the Glasgow School of Art and honed her design skills during her studies. Her work has been exhibited in several countries. Drawing inspiration from nature, she consistently integrates organic forms and captivating colors into her designs, effectively expressing her emotions and sentiments through her artistry.
Collection concept:
My theme is about a childhood fantasy of skies, with an idea of reproducing childhood naivety. The fantasy symbolizes my curiosity about nature, the universe, as a child, while providing a beautiful sky unique to myself in the complex world of adults. My exploration revolves around clouds in their fluffy and plump shape, playing with clouds in a series of movements. For example, when I was a child, I often wanted to get hold of it, close in it, and go through it, so I will perform visual movements like enclosing, piercing, and wrapping in my design process. The design turns childhood fantasies into real-contact experiences.
