Designer biography:

Diana Diacon is a 3D artist specializing in creating content for real time applications. She started designing jewelry in the digital environment, later developing a taste for physical jewelry and experimenting with different materials as a way to explore the creative process and self-expression. Still, her main interest is the jewelry experience in the virtual environment, as it promises much-needed freedom.

Collection concept:

"Queen of Trash" is an invitation to find beauty in dull circumstances. As it's made mostly of discarded materials, the collection focuses on creativity as a means to turn around unvalued belongings and on uplifting one's state of mind by using bright colors (as opposed to the dim ambiance created by the abundance of trash). The green color is also inspired by actions of covering up the bad, the dirty, and the trash, by the make believe that we protect the environment. Green is perceived as a reference to nature, but the neon green used in the collection gives it an artificial nuance.
