FOR THE SAKE OF FREEDOM by PAULA PETIZ

As we walk by the string of memory, yesterday and the near tomorrow, the fight for freedom becomes the focus of attention. The stress between good and evil, inherent to human nature, comes with a continuous struggle against repression. While blood pulses, we must internalize ways to face the world and (re)act: ‘resilience’, ‘resistance’ and ‘renovation’, the latter considered as generational testimonial passage, in the ethical sense. It is about passing on memories, making known the value of freedom and the constant danger it is in, a way of being in the world.

Paula Petiz - Born in Porto, Portugal, lived and studied in Mozambique from primary school to university.  Is a Portuguese architect graduated from FAUP, in Porto. In 2018, after a bench experience at the Alchimia Jewelry School, she started in the jewelry field. She throws the ‘Ciclo’ project, to design and execute pieces with disposable objects and surplus production in a process of experimentation.
