Designer biography:

My love for gemstones and jewelry was there from day one and I always dreamed of creating and bringing my vision to reality. My economic studies did not offer me any creative output, and I used to feel better for not inheriting any artistic abilities from my graphic artist mother.

This, however, changed 9 years ago when my life took a turn and I decided to join a jewelry creation school. A colleague signed me up for Assamblage, and ever since I have begun working on my dream and enrolled in several other courses, such as the UCECOM school. Everything that I learned compelled me to go further and further, and I have never stopped learning ever since. All in all, this allowed me to have my hobby as a job. I feel ecstatic when I create, giving life to my client's desires. I could sit at my workbench 24/7 and not get tired.

Collection concept:

Life is fleeting, and just like the delicate wings of the butterfly, we should embrace its beauty. As people, we tend to get caught up in our tumultuous and chaotic lives and forget just how short the present is. We tell ourselves that life is long, and postpone expressing our inner charm for tomorrow, waiting for a future that never arrives. We should learn from the butterfly, spread our wings and show our true, spectacular colors while we can.

Through this collection, I wanted to show people that we pop up into existence just like the butterfly, and even though we evolve differently, the fragility and finality of life are just the same. These pieces are a parallel between humans and butterflies, so similar in essence, yet having so different approaches to life. Whenever we are lost, we should fly and find the right path in life, as the butterflies do.
