Designer biography:
She was born in Athens, Greece. Studies: Vakalo Art and Design College, Acting School of Drama Hatjikou in Athens. Silversmithing, jewelry and metalwork studies (2012-2017) in Athens and Florence. Exhibitions: Group exhibitions in Athens and abroad: 2013-2023. Selected to participate as individual artist in Athens Jewelry Week exhibition : 2018,2019, in JOYA Barcelona Art Jewelry Fair: 2018,2019, in Romanian Jewelry Week exhibition : 2022, in Israel Biennale of Contemporary Jewelry: 2022. Awards: Textilia in Athens: awards for textile fashion design: 1984 and 1985. Joya Barcelona winner’s award:2019. The grand award of Romanian Jewelry Week: 2022.
Collection concept:
“Layers and colors of nostalgia ”
Molded pieces of resin were cut into layers, revealing their inner hidden construction. The final synthesis is reflecting memories, thoughts and feelings coming from beloved landscapes and countryside surroundings. The first pieces were created in the winter of 2021 during the incarceration period due to Covid 19 pandemic. A hard period, when it was not only forbidden to travel and find yourself in nature, but even to be a few kilometers away from home. A period when the lack of the most natural and ordinary things created an incredible nostalgia for the obvious. We live in the aftermath and our lives are still affected by the deep marks it has left on each one of us.
