Biography:
With a master’s degree in law, striving to become a criminal prosecutor, never would I have imagined ending up some 15 years later making jewelry for a living. It has been one of my life long passions, but unfortunately only recently was I able to take classes and learn about it’s secrets. My art is sincere and heartfelt, it’s a whisper into the wearer’s ear.
Collection Concept: Human Kintsugi
Human Kintsugi is a collection drawing inspiration from kintsugi art. The gold imitates the repaired cracks in the porcelain and transposes them into the hardships which break us throughout our lives. In a world worshiping perfection, we must still appreciate imperfection for giving us uniqueness and individual beauty. The technique used for applying the gold foil, nunome zogan, was until not long ago only used for sword decoration. The secret of this collection is the hidden small pearl, representing the purity of the soul.
